So my 2-year cell phone contract is ending soon, and I've been thinking about what I want.

I currently have a Razr, which seems like such a gimmick now. The only thing I like about is that it's thin. Other than that, it sucks. I'm not particularly drawn to any phones right now because they seem a little too bland for my taste. Smart phones are useful, but I just don't see myself with one because I'm not that sophisticated. I mean, there's the iPhone, which I have to admit is pretty cool, but is too expensive, too vulnerable (the touch sensory, that is), and just about 1 in 4 people have one, not to mention that Cingular/AT&T has totally monopolized it.

It's looks like a remote control from this angle, butit's actually a flip-phone.

Right now, I have my eye on a new conceptual phone called the 'Nokia Remade,' in which "the intent was to create a device made from nothing new." In other words, this phone is made from 100% recycled materials: aluminum cans, plastic bottles, old car tires, etc. Wouldn't you be proud to tell people that you're using an environmentally-friendly phone? I'd be. Not only is it good for the environment, but it is good to look at. This phone is still in the works, but when it comes out, I'm going to to be the first one to get it...if it's cheap.
